This week was so exciting! Finally get to see a bunch of friends from high school and gather around to have some yummmy sushi. Because it will be friend H's birthday next week, earlier that day I decided to get some mini cupcakes from Whimsical Cupcakes. A dozen mini cupcakes costs $14, about $1.17 each which is a better deal to share. The cupcakes smell so delicious with a hint of sugar. I only had two of the dozen including the vanilla icing on red velvet cupcake and the coconut on lemon icing on vanilla cupcake. The red velvet one has a nice balance which is not too sweet, but I can't seem to taste the red velvet very well. I don't have a lot of experience with red velvet cakes  so I can't tell how strong red velvet suppose to taste like. The coconut one on the other hand has a nice hint of lemon zesty flavor that balances out the sweetness of coconut and vanilla.

Other cupcakes includes:
- Mint Crumbles - Chocolate cupcake topped with a mint buttercream and crushed oreo cookies.
- New Yorker - Mocha cupcake topped with a mocha buttercream and a chocolate espresso bean.
- Chocolate2 - Chocolate cupcake topped with chocolate sugar frosting and dark chocolate sprinkles.
- Raspberry Lemonade - Lemon zest cupcake topped with a raspberry buttercream.
- Berry Lovely - Strawberry cupcake topped with vanilla buttercream and kiss of raspberry buttercream.
- Smarty-Pants - Vanilla cupcake topped with both vanilla and chocolate buttercream & crushed smarties.
- Salted Caramel - Chocolate cupcake topped with a caramel buttercream, SKOR bits & drizzled with caramel.
- Ruby - Red Velvet cupcake baked with chocolate chips, filled with creamcheese icing, topped with vanilla buttercream and white chocolate chips.
- Snowball - Vanilla cupcake topped with a tart lemon sugar frosting rolled in coconut.
